Church Governance

It is the duty of the College of Bishops to govern the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA) in national and inter-diocesan matters and liturgical, doctrinal, and Sacramental matters. The College of Bishops is directed by the Presiding Bishop, the Most Reverend Anthony F. Santore, FCR. |
The College of Bishops acts as the Synod of Bishops of CACINA when convened in the Plenary Council of the General Assembly. For detailed information concerning the College of Bishops, see the Code of Canons. Click here to see a description of the bishops' Apostolic Succession. |
The House of Delegates (HOD) is an elected group of clergy and lay people who represent parishes, missions, dioceses, and religious orders within CACINA. The HOD consists of two members of the clergy of each diocese (who are not members of the College of Bishops) and one lay representative for each 20 registered adult members of each parish. |
